Properties of Piezoelectric PMN-PT Crystal

The following 4 working modes are mostly acceptable. They are: Longitudinal Extension Mode - d33 2000~3000 pC/N with <001> poling, Transvers Extension Mode - d31 -1200~-1800 pC/N fro for <011> poling, Longitudinal Shear Mode - d36 2500 pC/N for <011>poling and Transverse Shear Mode - d15 4000~6000 pC/N with <111> poling.

Longitudinal Extension k33 Mode:

<001> seeded large-sized (2 inch diameter 4 inch long) PMN-PT single crystals have been manufactured using a modified Bridgman technique. The piezoelectric PMN-PT single crystal with PT-content 27~33% posses superior piezoelectric properties over the traditional PZT ceramics. It revolutionizes piezoelectric materials applications. It can be categorized to 2 compositional type of PMN-PT crystals.
